Interspan Tschopp AG, based in Switzerland, has consistently relied on PEISCHL and has significantly expanded its fleet in recent years. Around two-thirds of the entire fleet has already been converted to PEISCHL vehicles. Today, over 90 moving floor vehicles are in daily use and form the backbone of the transport logistics.

The company is one of the leading players in the Swiss timber transport sector and specialises in the trade of wood waste and bulk goods logistics. The company transports sawn timber and chipboard as well as sawdust, wood chips, bark, and industrial and energy wood. The requirements range from high flexibility to maximum efficiency in day-to-day operations.

PEISCHL sliding floor vehicles with side doors have been in use at Interspan for more than seven years. Key factors are the high payload of up to 25.5 tonnes with a gross vehicle weight of 40 tonnes, the robust construction and the optimised loading height of up to 2,780 mm. Every kilogram counts, particularly in timber transport, resulting in clear efficiency benefits.

The combination of a higher payload, fast loading processes and reliable technology results in greater transport capacity per day and lower operating costs. Fewer journeys for the same volume increase efficiency and reduce downtime across the entire fleet.

The vehicles are designed for intensive, continuous use in timber transport and ensure consistently high availability in day-to-day operations.

The ongoing expansion to over 90 vehicles demonstrates a clear trend towards a long-term partnership. The decision is based on technical superiority, economic benefits and reliable performance in real-world continuous operation.
